Converse Chuck 70 “Tri Panel Renew” Pack Touches On Sustainability

words by angelyn

Converse has introduced its “Tri Panel Renew” pack featuring a series of pastel-dyed styles made from recycled factory scraps and it is a continuation of Converse’s “Renew” collection. The “Renew” collection has repurposed waste to craft classic Chucks and show its commitment to design towards a waste-less future.

Its latest products are the two tri-coloured iterations of the classic Chuck 70: the Chuck 70 Hi and Chuck 70 Ox. The Chuck 70 Hi is here to offer a sandy tan, burnish orange and vintage purple combination while the Chuck 70 Ox’s shades are pastel-esque, mixing baby blue, natural ivory and soft springtime pink. The use of natural materials results in a washed-in look and is brought together on both shoes by soft ivory fabric toe caps that replace the standard rubber iteration, silver eyelets, ivory midsoles with special Renew badges and brown recycled rubber outsoles.

The “Trip Panel Renew” pack will be released on Converse’s official site on May 15 2020. The Hi is priced at $95 USD, and the Ox at $90 USD.
